$6,000 in Scholarships awarded in 2025

The brotherhood of St. Andrew will award $6,000 in Scholarships to three high school graduating seniors in the Diocese of Texas.  The scholarships of $3000, $2000 and $1000 were awarded in May 2025.

Scholarships to be awarded in 2026

Each parish or mission may submit one application by April 10, 2026. You are encouraged to have all interested seniors in the parish submit an application and a winner is then selected by a committee or an individual.  Forward the winning application to:

• A letter of recommendation for the candidate, written by the Priest, Youth Director or Senior Warden should accompany the application, as well as a current transcript of the applicant's grades.
• All applications from the candidates should be received by the Priest or person in charge by April 1st, 2026.  The Brotherhood will need the winning application from each parish by April 10th, 2026.
• Late applications will not be accepted.
• The Scholarship money will be sent directly to the college the winner plans to attend.  If a winner chooses not to attend college, the money will be returned to the Brotherhood of St. Andrew.

Qualifications For The Applicant

• Must be a member of a parish or mission in the Diocese of Texas.
• Must have been baptized.
• Must be graduating high school senior in 2026.
• Must be planning to attend a college starting in 2026.
• Must be in good standing and active in school and church.
• Must have a GPA of 3.2 or better.

Houston Perry

Mr. Houston Perry from St Andrews Episcopal, Houston, is the winner of the $3,000 Brotherhood Scholarship for 2025.

COLTON SCOTT

Mr. Colton Scottt from St James, Austin, is the winner of the $2,000 Brotherhood Scholarship for 2025.

EDWARD ZIEGLER

Mr. Edward Ziegler from Holy Comforter, Spring, is the winner of the $1,000 Brotherhood Scholarship for 2025.
